Obituary

MR. HENRY A. F. BADER

Whose death occurred at his home at Burt-street, Mt. Lawley, on Wednesday last, at the age of 63 years. Deceased, who was senior member of the firm of H. A. F. Bader and Son, had been a resident of Western Australia for nearly 36 years, and was one of the pioneering engineers in the Laverton, Euro and Menzies districts. In his early days, in this state he was responsible for the erection and supervision of electric lighting stations and machinery, and in Perth was held in high regard as an electrical engineer. During the past seven years he had been recognised as an authority on wireless in this State, being a member of 6WF advisory board and an officer of Wireless Listeners' League and the Wireless Development Association. With his co-examiner, Mr. E. L. Grantham he had been examiner, under the Arbitration Court for electrical apprentices in WA, and for some time had been a member of the advisory board of the Perth Technical School for apprentice classes. He was a member of the W.A. branch of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, and only returned a fortnight before his death from the annual congress of the Australian Standardising Engineers' Association in the Eastern States. Deceased held high office in Masonic circles, being representative of American Grand Lodges In WA.
