Children Susannah Maydwell, Mary Anne Maydwell - died before first birthday & Marry Ann Maydwell - died before first birthday.
They first settled in Fremantle and her occupation in Australia is recorded as servants - gardener.
The Maydwell family were servants to Mr George Leake. It is believed that Robert was a Gardner. Apparently 1831-1832 he was appointed as a local Constable then 1832-1837 became a Parish Clerk within the Church of England in Fremantle. He also conducted burial services. In 1832 on the 17th June his wife Susannah died. His daughter Susannah (about 1815-18/09/1893) married William Lewington (about 1802-16/07/1869) who was also an early settler arriving on the Lotus on 23/10/1829. They married on 27/08/1832.
